Astrology and Diseases – Neurofibromatosis, a rare genetic disorder

Female Jataka from Pune is suffering  from this rare disease called Neurofibromatosis.

Lets first understand what is this disease:

Synonyms

General Discussion

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), also called von Recklinghausen’s disease, is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the development of multiple noncancerous (benign) tumors of nerves and skin (neurofibromas) and areas of abnormally decreased or increased coloration (hypo- or hyperpigmentation) of the skin. Areas of abnormal pigmentation typically include pale tan or light brown discolorations (cafe-au-lait spots) on the skin of the trunk and other regions as well as freckling, particularly under the arms (axillary) and in the groin (inguinal) area. Such abnormalities of skin pigmentation are often evident by one year of age and tend to increase in size and number over time.

Jataka’s Chart:

neurofibromatosis-chart neurofibromatosis-chart

Major diseases in Jataka’s  life are analysed from 6th house in Birth chart. In the above chart 6th house sub-lord is Rahu, which itself is a malefic planet. Rahu is placed in 11th house with close conjunction of Neptune and Uranus.

Rahu is in Constellation of Venus (Genital organs, beauty, skin disorders). Venus is placed in 6th house (Genital organs/groin) lord of 4th (chest) and 9th (thighs). Venus in conjunction with Mars (fiery planet) in 6th house. Mars also denotes operation. This Jataka was operated for tumor growth in Groin area in july 2010.

Rahu is in Dhanu Rasi whose lord is Jupitor. Jupitor is a large planet hence denotes, growth in any result. In question of disease, it denotes cancer like conditions, abnormal growth of tissues, tumor, warts, lumps, swelling. Jupitor is again placed in 6th house in Cancer Rasi.

Jupitor in Mercury Constellation (multiple times the event will occur – in this case multiple tumors, Skin, nervous system). Mercury is again placed in 6th house (nervous disorder) with its rasi’s in 5th and 8th house. Mercury is in conjunction with Venus and Mars. Mercury + Mars yuti (conjunction) results in skin disorders.

Jupitor and Sun (planet for health, vitality) are afflicted by Saturn. Saturn is in direct opposition of Sun. Saturn’s affliction has reduced the vitality of Jataka. Sun in Cancer Rasi and its lord Moon is in close conjunction(Yuti) with Saturn. This has also affected the RASA’s (Body fluids).

Saturn relation with Moon is also considered as most bad Yoga as per Shri KSK. This yoga is called PUNARAFOO yoga, which means, similar type of incidents occur repeatedly in Jataka’s life and Jataka has to start his life all over again from zero.

You can see from above, how Birth chart (if details are correct) and Horary charts can show the disease very accurately. It needs some patience and a very detailed analysis of the chart, to understand these.

Astrology can be used to confirm the disease and possible method of medications can also be suggested through the analysis of Natal and Horary charts.

Remember, Astrology cannot cure the disease but can be sometimes helpful in finding the nature of the disease as well as possible medication methods, that will be helpful to Jataka’s. Astrology cannot replace the medicinal science, but can aid it.

Jul 20, Astrology Basics - Planets

Astrological Planets - The Sun The Sun   Wherever the Sun is in a chart, that area is brightly illuminated. The Sun in a person’s chart often represents the person’s self-image and how they reinforce that self-image. When someone says they are a particular Sign, they are usually referring to their Sun Sign (the Sign the Sun was in when they were born). The Sun is usually considered the single most important Planet in a chart.

Astrological Planets - The Moon The Moon   Usually considered second only to the Sun in importance (and sometimes considered more important), the Moon represents a person’s emotional nature. While the Sun may represent how a person thinks about or sees him or herself, the Moon represents a person’s “gut reactions.” The Moon can also describe the relationship between the native and his or her mother.

Astrological Planets - Mercury

Mercury   The fastest-moving Planet, Mercury shows how a person communicates and reasons. Mercury can also indicate how the person deals with change.

Astrological Planets - Venus Venus   The Planet of love and beauty, Venus often talks about what makes the person comfortable. Venus can show how a person experiences romance, as well as the things in life the person is inclined to value (or “love”). In a man’s chart, Venus will often show how he views women, and what kind of impact women will have on his life.

Astrological Planets - Mars Mars   The Planet of action, Mars indicates how a person gets what he or she wants, as well as how the person deals with stress. In a woman’s chart, Mars will often show how she views men, and what kind of impact men will have on her life.

Astrological Planets - Jupiter Jupiter   This Planet represents a person’s free lunch. Wherever Jupiter is in a person’s chart, that person will tend to enjoy good luck and easy success in that area. Occasionally, Jupiter can represent overexpansion or overindulgence.

Astrological Planets - Saturn Saturn   This is the Planet of limitations and responsibility. Wherever Saturn is in a person’s chart, it will indicate where the person has to show up and be responsible, where they have to “get serious” if they want to succeed. Sometimes, Saturn represents a major obstacle in the person’s life. Saturn can also describe the relationship between the native and his or her father.

Astrological Planets - Uranus Uranus   The Great Awakener, Uranus is the Planet of unpredictability. Wherever Uranus is in a person’s chart, abrupt changes and opportunities to learn from experience will manifest in that area.

Astrological Planets - Neptune Neptune    Wherever Neptune is in a person’s chart, it shows where in life the person tends to navigate by intuition rather than by reason. Neptune’s Aspects—the relationships between Neptune and other elements of the chart—are especially important in discerning Neptune’s influence, because they can show when and how far intuition should be trusted.

Astrological Planets - Pluto Pluto   The Planet of death and transformation, Pluto indicates where negotiation and compromise do not work for the person, or where the person has to change something fundamental in his or her life.

These are the ten Planets almost every modern astrologer works with. Even though astronomically, Pluto has lost it's planet status, it's still used by astrologers as a planet.

There is a lot more that could be said about any—and all—of them. This article is meant only to provide a brief glimpse—a “taste”—of each.

Also, it is important to note that there are other elements—other ingredients—some astrologers prefer to have pictured in a chart, which occupy the same area in the chart as the Planets.

These can include planetoids (Chiron), asteroids (Hera, Athena, etc.), fixed stars (Arcturus, Rigel, etc.), Planets that have not been discovered by astronomers (Zeus, Poseiden, etc.), even Positions...points in the chart with no physical reference such as the Lunar Nodes or Arabic Parts (the Part of Fortune being the most commonly used).

I bring these up simply to let the reader be exposed to the terms, and know that all of these are beyond the basics that are necessary to read a natal chart (and also to give readers who are interested in a more in-depth study of astrology further starting points).

The next article will talk about the final class of distinct ingredients in a chart: The Houses and their Cusps.

Why astrology is not a science?

Why astrology is not a science?

Eyebrows raised? read the question again.

There are mis-beliefs more than beliefs about astrology. But still people visit astrologers for solutions on their problems when all other scientific methods fail. These mis-beliefs starts from the moment they read their birth horoscope casted by some family astrologer or printout taken from some astrology software in a cybercafe, that has predictions about one’s life. When people compare these pages with their real-life events and understand that events happened in their life does not matches with their birth horoscope, its natural for them to come to this conclusion that Astrology is not a science and more over its not perfect at all. But then one should think about this again.

If its not a science then why it has lasted for so many centuries. Nothing is immortal in this world. The things, technology, culture, lifestyle, fashion that does not fits in this world, which is not perfect has not lasted for so long. Even scientific theories that were considered correct were proven wrong afterwards and were changed. If astrology is not a science and perfect in its sense, then how it has survived for so long?

A patient dies in the hospital in spite of good medical treatment. Cause may be, doctor’s mis-diagnosis of a disease, his mental and physical health not supportive for medicines and treatment or may be no cure has been found till date for the disease. But then nobody blames the Medicinal Science. People blame the doctor or the company that manufactured the drug or the management of the hospital but have you heard anybody saying that this science of life, drug, medicine is fake and its not a science at all?

No!

Then if some Jyotishi’s (astrologer’s) prediction fails then how a complete Astrology can be wrong and blamed for. Actually its the astrologer who has failed and not the astrology. The reasons of failure can be wrong methods, wrong data used to calculate and cast horoscope, or even the timings could be wrong.

All technologies, sciences are based on maths. Maths is also behind drug formulation and genetics. Its behind aeroplanes, cars, space shuttles. Even a planet (Pluto) was discoverd only on the basis of maths. After deciding its location, based on mathematical computation, it was accurately seen at that location from telescopes. Similarly, maths is the core of astrology. Without mathematical computation one cannot erect/cast a correct horoscope. Panchang’s (Ephimeries) used in erecting horoscopes perfected with the help of mathematical calculations only. “Aynamsha” used to convert sayan charts to nirayan charts is nothing but the speed with which Axis of the earth is declining each year and is mathematically computed correctly. Rahu, Ketu are considered as the nodes in Astrology, and they are are defined as the intersection points between axis of rotation of earth and axis or rotation of moon.

If Astrology is based on Maths and Astronomy, then how can one say that this is not a science. I agree that, similar to other scientific theories required more research and were perfected or agreed upon by the masses only after thorough research, further research is required in Astrology as well. But, very few mathematicians and modern highly educated scholars, do this.

Let me give you one present day example. A research is going on, on a BIG-BANG theory by spending enormous amount of money and human efforts. But, consider the fact that still Big-BANG is just a theory and not a proven reality. When people are willing to spend so much money and efforts just to check whether, this theory is correct or not, why occult science like Astrology is left aside?

In my next post I’ll try to present my thoughts on “Why horoscopes give wrong predictions?” or “Why Astrologer fails?”

I also request your comments and views on this subject matter.

thanks and regards

A Basic Introduction To Astrology

Astrology is without a doubt one of the most popular of the occult sciences in the world today. Think I'm kidding? All you have to do is open your front door, pick up the daily newspaper, open it up to the leisure section and there you will find your daily horoscope. In addition to newspapers, you'll also find this information in magazines, online, on the television and just about anywhere you go. In this article, we're going to cover the basics of astrology, as a comprehensive overview is way beyond the scope of any one article. Hopefully, after reading this, you'll have a pretty good idea if this is something that you want to get into. It is a most fascinating occult science.

The basis of Astrology stems from the planets in our solar system, as well as our own son. When we're born, these planets are all in a certain position. This is what determines our astrological sign at the time of our birth.. The sun and the planets all govern a different area of our lives.. This all goes back to Greek Mythology, as the Greek Gods all ruled different planets.

While the basics of astrology are actually very simple, putting together an astrological chart is not so easy. See, not only is your astrological chart based upon where the sun and the planets were at the time of your birth, but it is also determined by the actual spot on Earth where you were born. So two people born on the same day can have two completely different astrological charts. That's why astrology can get so complex.

Putting together the chart, however, is only half the battle. Once the chart is put together, there is the matter of interpreting the chart. This is further complicated by the fact that a person's chart actually changes over time because the position of the planets change over time. That is why we as human beings change over time and why many people can start out their lives as hardened criminals and end up going on to become men of God. The planets can play strange tricks on us as we go on.

Astrology readings are not just about predicting the future. They also tell us a lot about a person's character and what they're interests are. This information comes from the various houses of the Zodiac, which can take a literal lifetime to study.

As someone who has studied astrology for over 20 years now, I have never found the study to be dull. I have personally evolved so much over the 49 years that I have been on this planet, and there is no question that the planets have played a major role in my own development as a person.

If you're interested in learning more about Astrology, you can find an excellent resource in my signature that's loaded with free instruction that I try to update regularly.

Astrology is a fascinating occult science and one that I have enjoyed now for a very long time.

Attracting Success Through Astrology Learning

Do you believe in luck? Do you believe that one's astrological sign can affect one's successes and failures in life in general? Do you think that if one learns to understand his position in astrology that he could use this in begetting success and removing failures from one's life?

If you answered yes to all three questions, you're either an astrologer or into astrology learning. Studying astrology and its many intricacies is popular because people are in the belief that one's astrological sign, one's zodiac sign, and even one's birth date can tell if the person bearing such a sign or born into this specific date and time will become successful or will fail in life. It is further said that one is able to attract success by learning the personality strengths and weaknesses of one's sign or the days that could be "bad" for a business deal or a job interview.

In other words, attract success through astrology learning. To start off, here are a few tips on how to learn astrology the best way and be able to carry out attracting success:

1. Be warned that learning basic or advanced astrology will not guarantee one that this knowledge will bring him the success he so long for. Think of astrology as a guide, as a kind of good advice that one may or may not take. Man was given freewill for a reason and this is one time that one could use this gift. You still have the last say. Remember, the stars are only there to become your guide; you still make your own destiny.

2. If astrology learning is what you're aiming for, be a consistently good student. Consistently because your study of astrology shouldn't be a selective one. Learn the basics first. Master it then move on to the advanced lessons. Master it. Memorize basic information. Use your senses. Open your third eye. Test the accuracy of your intuition. Listen to it. Be good at listening to it.

3. Be open-minded. Don't close your mind to mastering just one branch of astrology and in the process become biased to that branch which you were able to master. If you can, learn and master everything there is to learn and master about every branch or sub-branch there is in the pseudo-science that is astrology.

Now that you're ready to become the best student of astrology, enroll in a class now. Try looking up classes over the Internet. You could also check the local directory's Yellow Pages if there are astrologers in your area that are offering one-on-one astrology learning classes. However, if classroom-based lessons aren't your thing you could always buy a book on astrology and self-study. That could always work and just might get you to attract enough success. Good luck!

The First Steps in Grasping Astrology

As soon as you jump into the world of astrology, you discover how fascinating it is. But that fascination is often replaced by bewilderment. Astrology is a big topic. Don't try to grasp it all at once. Start with the basics.

Humankind and the Stars

Ancient civilizations like those of Egypt, Babylonia, Greece and India believed in a correlation between worldly matters and celestial events. This belief continues to this day in the minds of astrologers and astrology students. In earlier days, there wasn't a lot of thought given to the influence of the stars on individual persons; instead the affairs of state and especially the ruler (emperor, king) were considered more important. The earliest natal horoscopes were pretty sketchy. As time went on, the techniques of natal astrology - the study of astrological influences at the time of birth - became more and more advanced. People wanted to know their fortunes through astrology, so professionals would tell their fortunes through their astrological birth charts. In modern times, the majority of astrologers frown on blatant fortune-telling, preferring to take a more psychological approach.

Basic Language of Astrology

It's not that hard to grasp the basics of modern natal astrology, which is a lot simpler than traditional astrology. You only need to know four types of symbols in the astrological language: planets, zodiac signs, aspects and houses. There is more to it than that, of course, but those are all you need to start reading charts. (This leaves out computation of charts, for which you need astronomical background-- highly recommended.)

Imagine that you are a factory or maybe a business office. The planets are all the people who are involved in the workings of the factory or office. The zodiac signs are the roles they play, or rather, how they fulfill their roles in the business. The aspects tell how the people cooperate with one another. The houses are the various parts or departments of the building where they work.

To translate that into the human individual: Planets are dimensions of your being, each of whom have their own functions: Sun for ego, Moon for instinct, Mercury for communication, Venus for love, etc. Zodiac signs are powers that influence how the planets express themselves. Aspects are the relationships between the planets. Houses mark partitions in the horoscope that stand for fields of experience, like home, work, marriage, etc.

Kinds of Astrology

There's more than just natal astrology. Sooner or later, you'll want to explore other subjects such as forecasting, compatibility, divination and elections. Some of these are advanced and rely on more traditional rules than modern natal astrology. But whatever it is, astrology is fun and intriguing.

Many people are most eager to learn about what astrology has to say about love and marriage. The principles of astrological compatibility is similar to natal astrology - planets, signs, aspects and houses - but you need to be quite experienced in natal chart reading before you can confidently study compatibility charts. Everything begins with the birth chart, so start your journey there.

Astrology, Numerology & Compatibility - Why You Need to Scrutinize a Lot More Than Just Sun Signs

Instead of considering only astrological Sun signs,

we believe that the comprehensive astrology and

numerology charts must be scrutinized if one wants

to consider true personality, compatibility, and

personal timing (prediction and forecasting).

Also, thorough handwriting analysis done by a well-

trained professional adds a great deal of additional

insight about subconscious character, much of which

that can't be found through modern, psychological

astrology.

On the surface, you may think you have great astrological

compatibility on paper with two seemingly easy-going,

compassionate people (signified in part, for example, by

both having an abundance of Pisces and Cancer energy).

However, it's discovered that one has very compressed,

narrow, extreme right-slanted, sharp, angular, heavy

pressure script with rigid baselines and downward slanting,

weak-ending, pointed letter t-bars. Plus, strong patterns

of over-balanced "8" and "1" energy are found in the

comprehensive numerology charts. All of this with

other corroborating information alerts the analyst to

the strong possibility of that person being a domineering

abuser.

The other person's comprehensive charts involve, in

part, lots of under-balanced "2" energy which suggests

dependency and self-deprecation. In support of these

notions, that person's script includes martyr/victim traits

such as small overall script size, light writing pressure,

close word spacing, excessively rounded and immature-

looking writing, droopy rhythm and connectives

between letters, pinched circle letters, low and weakly

crossed letter t-bars back to the left instead of to the right,

and x-formations where the letter x is not present.

In this case, a surface astrology interpretation would

unfortunately leave open the potential for a very toxic,

if not dangerous match.

An aside, psychology was not part of astrology until

about 100 years ago. The approximately 2000 year

tradition of the science of astrology involves mostly

prediction instead of psychological character analysis.

Unfortunately, in our view, most astrology found today

in print or on-line is primarily modern, psychological

astrology, and involves a frivolous and distorted

approach to the science.

Astrology that's largely for entertainment only

(although usually not presented as such) includes,

for example, Sun or Moon sign horoscopes, and

readings done by astrologers who commonly promote

falsehoods such as, "...(numerology or) astrology isn't

predestination or fate...how things play out is going to

be up to you," stated to cover a refusal to do in-depth

delineation, or mask an inability to do accurate

prediction.

Some popular modern astrologers even go so far as to

offensively suggest escapism, wishful thinking, self-

fulfilling prophesies, and a failure to take responsibility

for one's actions and life in response to the idea that

some astrologers and numerologists (like us) say it's

possible to measure and outline personal fate (i.e.,

impart the general inclination of fate, and frequently,

even precise future circumstances and events). Worse,

they deny that fate exists, and also deny the reality

that varying degrees of unavoidable adversity (which

is also measurable) in people's lives serves a divine

purpose.

The truth is that their form of astrology or numerology

isn't about predestination or fate and that original ancient

predictive astrology and numerology are absolutely about

predestination and fate.

It's ironic how fully embracing the concepts of karma and

fate is directly related to taking responsibility for one's

actions and that much of the modern astrology found

today offers mainly an escape from the hard realities of

life.

Reviewing Sun Signs, Moon Signs, or any other individual

aspect without considering the rest of the charts' contents

and patterns within those charts, will only give you surface

insight. It tells you virtually nothing about the reality of the

personality, or the compatibility between you and another

person.

For example, the Sign of Aquarius is considered to be

relatively harmonious with the Sign of Sagittarius. If

you select ten random people with Aquarius Sun Signs

and match them with ten people with Sagittarius Sun Signs,

it's entirely possible that none of them will get along with

each other. It's also entirely possible that all of them will

get along.

The best romantic matches for a Libra Sun and Cancer

Moon combination, for instance, depends entirely upon the

health of the respective planets (strong and well, or involving

afflictions including planets in detriment, badly aspected

planets, weak house placement, retrogrades, etc.), their

rulers and the health of those rulers, along with the rest

of the several hundred aspects, and patterns comprised

of those aspects, throughout the comprehensive charts

of each person.

It's possible for a person with a Libra Sun and Cancer

Moon, for example, to have wonderful compatibility with

a person with an Aries Sun and Capricorn Moon, both

oppositions.

Oppositions are commonly considered to involve poor

compatibility, but sometimes very close oppositions

(opposing planets that are very tightly aspected by a

degree or two, within the compatibility charts) offer

more reward than challenge, especially if the remaining

composite contents are harmonious.

Oppositions are as follows:

Aries is opposed to Libra.

Taurus is opposed to Scorpio.

Gemini is opposed to Sagittarius.

Cancer is opposed to Capricorn.

Leo is opposed to Aquarius.

Virgo is opposed to Pisces.

Conjunctions, same sign combinations, represent

intensification of the sign's energy, and is sometimes

positive and sometimes negative. Generally, it's a

"hard" aspect, and not as easy flowing as trines and

sextiles.

Although we feel that modern astrology places too

much emphasis on Ptolemaic aspects, it's good to

have an understanding of them.

The basic, major Ptolemaic aspects include oppositions

(180 degree angle), conjunctions (0 degree angle),

squares (90 degree angle), trines (120 degree angle),

and sextiles (60 degree angle).

Square aspects are combinations of signs that are of

different elements (see below), like Taurus with Leo,

and generally indicate challenge and tension. Trine

aspects are combinations of signs that are of the same

element, such as Scorpio with Pisces (both water), and are

generally agreeable. Sextile aspects are combinations of

signs that are of compatible, but different, elements such

as Cancer with Virgo, or Leo with Libra, and are also

generally favorable.

If you accept the trivial approach of reviewing only the

Sun and Moon signs, which might offer a preview at best,

then it's good to look at the elemental combinations of the

signs for some basic awareness.

On the surface, fire and air are harmonious, and earth and

water are harmonious. In addition, each element commonly

mixes well with itself (fire and fire, etc.).

Fire signs are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

Earth signs are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn.

Air signs are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius.

Water signs are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

A surface approach will involve Libra Sun, Cancer

Moon compatibility with an air or fire Sun, along with

a water or earth Moon, but that's just the beginning.

If you want to go a little deeper, yet still not get into

comprehensive analysis, considering the nature of the

sign is also helpful (Fixed, Mutable, or Cardinal), as is

considering the masculine or feminine nature of the sign

(fire and air are masculine, and earth and water are

feminine).

We also strongly recommend contemplating each

person's personal timing when considering compatibility.

Personal timing, comprised of scores of short, medium,

and long-term continuous and non-continuous numerological

and astrological cyclical timing methods, regularly

symbolically makes or breaks relationships. The collective

cycles can be divided into groups that are the basis for

pattern recognition.

Two people can seemingly have nothing in common aside

from their current personal time cycles (some as short as

a day, others as long as many years), and when those

time cycles change, the relationship changes, or even

dissolves.

It should be noted that we understand that it is possible

for someone who has strong, solid psychic ability and a

good, general understanding of astrology to successfully

use Sun and Moon signs exclusively as psychic touchstones.

But few have this talent where they can get consistent,

accurate reads without a comprehensive approach.

Again, an astrologer must consider all comprehensive

charts in determining compatibility, along with the

comprehensive timing charts, and not just the Sun and

Moon signs if one really wants to uncover existing

compatibility. Again, we have found that you also must

consider the comprehensive numerology charts, along with

handwriting analysis (subconscious fears and defenses, etc.),

if you want a high level of accuracy.

A skeptic saying that they "...don't believe in astrology,"

to us, is a reasonable and understandable statement if

they have only been exposed to Sun Sign astrology,

which is the basis for most astrology horoscopes today.

Comparing Sun Sign astrology to an in-depth analysis

as referred to in the above paragraphs is like comparing

conspiracy theory half-truths to confirmed CIA intelligence.

Astrological Compatibility - The Astrology Of Relationship, Part II - Elements

In my article, Astrological Compatibility: The Astrology of Relationship, I laid out a foundation of understanding of how astrology can bring awareness to our relationships. In this article I would like to expand on that foundation and show how the individual elemental and planetary makeup of our own astrological chart interacts with that of others. In astrology we call this interaction "synastry", a beautiful word that is used to describe the relationship between the energy fields of two people.

If we look at "synastry" as a dynamic process, a constant flow of energy between two people, it is much easier to understand how the elemental and planetary energies affect our relationships. Like electricity, our relationships flow smoothly when resistance is low. When there is resistance or obstruction of the flow of energy between us then we experience breakdowns or "burn-outs". Astrology provides us with an unique "schematic" or map of how our energy may flow when we're in relationship with another. It also provides us with awareness of where we might "burn" each other out.

In "Astrological Compatibility: The Astrology of Relationship," I showed how the different signs interact or aspect each other. Basically I was speaking of the way Sun signs interact so this might mean that a person with the Sun in the sign Leo would find it more difficult relating to Scorpio, Taurus and Aquarius (the Sun signs that are in challenging aspect to their own). In order to get a broader picture of how one would relate of any of these other signs, however, we would have to compare not only Sun signs but also the signs of the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.

For the sake of simplicity, let's just consider the so-called "personal" planets, the Sun through Jupiter. These six planets (actually the Sun is a star) are called personal because they are faster moving in the sky and affect us more on an individual level, whereas Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto move slower and tend to have more of a collective influence on our lives. Also, in comparing astrological charts of individuals who are close in age, it is much more likely that the outer planets will be in the same sign, thus minimizing the differences between charts.

Since any of the planets can be in any one of the four elements (fire, air, water, or earth), one begins to see how many different combinations of elemental and planetary expression are possible. For example, out of the ten planets in my chart I have four in the fire element, three in earth, two in water, and one in air. This is my "elemental make-up" and tells a lot about how I express my own energy and how I will relate to others.

As you can see, 70% of my planets are in fire and earth. I tend to be most happy when I am doing things, now! In relationship my greatest challenge has been to maintain my patience with those who I perceive are moving slower than me! I am usually at home and fairly comfortable in the emotional realm as I have two planets and my rising sign or ascendant (the constellation rising on the horizon at birth) in Cancer, a water sign. Of course the hardest element for me to operate in is air, as I only have one planet there.

For instance, if I have to read a manual for some sort of mechanical contraption I'll probably never get around to it. I am much happier if I can just rip open the box and start tweaking buttons and twisting dials! One drawback of not having a lot of air in my chart is that I rely more on intuition and emotion to make judgments and decisions and consequently have less objectivity than those who "specialize" in the air element.

Understanding your own elemental makeup is extremely important if you want to get the most out of your relationships. By getting to know your own strengths and challenges you will begin to draw partners to you in a more conscious manner. You would not believe how common it is to find couples or partnerships where one person is all fire and air (intuition and intellect) and the other is water and earth (emotional and physical). The couple or partnership are literally drawn together like magnets so that they can benefit from each other's "elemental specialization". This can be a great learning experience if it's done consciously but a highly co-dependent relationship if not.

In an astrological chart the elements represent basic forms of energy within us while the individual planets symbolize our basic expression of that energy or life force in all areas of life - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Each planet represents certain fundamental needs or urges that we all express to one degree or another. The way we express these fundamental energies characterizes what we typically call personality.

In other words, each of us has a desire to express our individuality and sense of self (Sun), to be nurtured and to nurture (Moon), to communicate fully with others (Mercury), to express love in relationship (Venus), to assert ourselves (Mars), and to expand our sense of who we are (Jupiter). Naturally we all differ in our ability to fully express our needs in these areas and that is exactly why astrology can teach us so much about how our basic needs can be met or thwarted in a relationship.

Karma and Astrology to Understand Your Role in the Universe

Karma is something that practically everyone goes through in their lives. It is basically the principle of cause and effect where your actions determine what you receive. In other words, there is an equal and opposite reaction for all actions. This power can be described in many ways; it basically means that your present situation is a consequence of previous actions.

In addition to giving an effect to your actions, karma is also associated with your past lives where each time you are reborn, the energies associated with your previous lives play an effect on the type of life you are living now. It has a relation and association with astrology as astrology indicates the current karmic situation you are going through.

This is because the different positions of the different planets during your time of birth determine your life. In fact, it is said that your destiny is determined the day you are born; and nothing you do can exactly change much of what you are going through. The only thing you can actually do to bring some happiness in your life would be to use fate, free will and destiny to improve your karma and life.

When you use karma in your astrology, you tend to look for answers to why you in the position you are in now. This is in contrast to the fundamentals followed by conventional astrology where emphasis is placed in telling you what you are and where you are heading. With karmic astrology, you find out about the catalysts in your life and how it can affect and improve your life.

With karma and astrology, you look at why you are in the position you are in now, and thus looks for the answer to this question in your past lives. Though you may know what kind of a person you are, you tend to wonder how you reached here, and what you can do to change your destiny. You learn that your current life is not a random or surprise existence. You learn that your life is part of a cosmic evolution that has been going around for some time now where no one knows how many eons and lifetimes have passed in this cosmic evolution.

So now one tends to wonder how it is possible to read karma and astrology and the relationship that exists between the two. The main thing that has to be done is to take a detailed look at the natal astrological chart using the help of a past life perspective. There is nothing special in this natal astrological chart; it is a standard astrological chart with some additional information. However its interpretation is different from conventional astrology.

With karma and astrology, you view the astrological chart in spiritual terms and not in ego personality terms. This is because with karma and astrology, you know your own personality. The natal chart here is considered to be a spiritual balance sheet that gives information about previous incarnations. In fact, it is quite accurate and in most cases, quite literal.

With karma and astrology, you learn about rewards that have been introduced into your life from your past life. These rewards are available for everyone, but are different for everyone. With the chart you learn that you have some unfinished business in your lives, and thus the reason you are here today. Basically, you need a few lifetimes to complete your business, according to this astrological wisdom.

These are the reasons people are so much interested in, and believe in karma and astrology which has such an interesting part in your lives today.

Astrology - Who You Are Compatible With

Countless people from all over the world consult astrology for insights into various facets of their lives, most especially, love relationships. Few would question that compatibility is key to happiness and fulfillment as a couple, whether or not they believe in astrology. Astrologers maintain that the ancient symbols of the heavens can help discover how human beings relate with one another.

Basic Compatibility Guidelines: Sun Signs

Zodiac signs are the easiest to use in astrological compatibility. Everyone knows at least his or her Sun sign or star sign. Your Sun sign is good for comparing the inner character and psychological motivation of you and people around you. The Sun sign influences the mind and how you think also (but not how you communicate, which is more Mercury).

Zodiac signs that are airy or fiery are compatible. These are the active signs, namely

Aries, Leo and Sagittarius (fire)
Libra, Aquarius and Gemini (air)

Zodiac signs that are earthy or watery are compatible too. These are the passive signs, namely:

Capricorn, Taurus and Virgo (earth)
Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces (water)

Their basic attitudes are similar. But this doesn't mean they always like each other. It is quite possible (and it often happens) that they don't like each other. For example, a Leo Sun sign may be enemies with an Aries Sun, yet their basic motivation and attitude toward life is similar: spirited, outgoing and passionate. Both fire and air signs are outgoing and active types.

In the case of the passive signs, they are all slow, quiet, introverted and feminine. They seek emotional and physical comforts. A Virgo Sun can relate to a Scorpio Sun, for example. Both are perceptive, analytical, loyal and often prone to worry.

Compatible Sun signs take to life in a similar fashion. You'll find it easier to understand and empathize with one whose sign is compatible with yours. For example, a Sun in Libra and Sun in Aquarius are both air signs. They are capable of abstract though and are intellectual. They can understand each other's preoccupation with ideas like, say, water signs can't so easily.

Moon and Ascendant Signs

Besides your Sun sign, check the compatibility between your Moon and Ascendant and your partner's. The Moon travels through the zodiac just as the Sun does, but much quickly: while the Sun takes a year to make a full revolution, the Moon takes only four weeks. The Moon sign reveals your emotional needs and instincts. If you have the Sun in a zodiac sign, it is similar to that of another person with the Moon in that sign; but they are not the same.

For example, let's say you have the Sun in Sagittarius. You strive to expand your mental and physical horizons as the way to fulfill your dreams and attain a sense of maturity. If someone you know has the Moon in Sagittarius instead, their needs are different. Moon in that sign likes to go outdoors and discover new things for emotional comfort, for relaxation and inner peace. That person may enjoy the same activities as you do -- maybe traveling, learning about foreign cultures, sports, philosophy, reading, etc. -- but it is for completely opposite reasons. The Sun sign seeks activity and power, the Moon sign seeks rest and comfort.

Having the Sun and Moon in friendly signs is a very good sign in astrological compatibility. To use the example above, if you have the Sun in Sagittarius and your partner has the Moon in that sign, it forms a strong bond. Your partner feels his or her needs fulfilled by you.

The Ascendant is not a planet. It is the first degree on the east of your birth chart. It represents the horizon. The Ascendant sign or Rising Sign is the most visible part of your personality. Just like the sun at sunrise, it shines where everyone can see it. Your Ascendant sign should ideally be compatible with your partner's Ascendant sign too, or perhaps his or her Sun or Moon sign and vice versa. For example, a Cancer Ascendant sign is highly compatible with a Capricorn Ascendant, its opposite sign.

Your Ascendant sign can be determined if your exact birth time is known. Your Moon sign depends on your birth date and year, and perhaps the time as well if the Moon switched signs on your birthday.

Beyond Zodiac Sign Compatibility

But astrological compatibility is much more complex than you may realize. You are not just one zodiac sign, or two or three. In fact, you do not have a zodiac sign to the exclusion of the others. Everyone has the twelve signs in their horoscopes; it's just different positions and strengths. To really discover how two people interact with each other from an astrological point of view, you or your astrologer would need to read the actual birth charts of the people in question.

In real astrology, you also look at the planets and the angles they form to each other between the two charts. You also need to look at the positions that your planets occupy in your partner's chart, and their planets in yours With so many factors to look into, it goes without saying that it takes a skilled astrologer to do this well.

How You Can Get an Astrology Love Reading

There are various ways to get a love reading. You can get a reading or perhaps a live consultation with a professional astrologer. You can also buy compatibility reports, at various prices, over the Internet. If you would rather have it done for free, you may find an amateur astrology student who wants to hone his or her skills offering free readings in forums or chat rooms. If you want serious, competent advice from someone who may also be a licensed relationship counselor (it depends on state and country laws on astrological practice), it is best to pay for consultation with a reputable astrologer.

What Astrology Can and Can't Do

Astrologers do not tell their clients what to do with a relationship. All astrology does is show you the potential of what's in your natal charts. You and your partner always decide what to do with that potential. This is important to keep in mind. Never let any reading or report convince you one way or the other. The decision is always yours. When you analyze yourselves and your charts honestly, you may be able to feel and understand how the astrological influences work. However you should also understand better than anyone else what you want. The final authority is always you and your partner together.

True horoscope compatibility is not just about zodiac sign matchmaking; it is about the complex interplay of two unique individuals as shown by their astrological birth charts. Learn more about natal chart compatibility as practiced by modern astrologers.

Astrology - Your Astrological Chart

Okay, we're finally ready to dive headlong into the meat of astrology, the astrological chart itself. This is where the foundation of your astrological influences is laid out. A trained astrologer can look at your astrological chart and tell a lot about you just from a glance. By going into depth he can tell even more. So, the questions that need to be answered are, what is an astrological chart, what's on it and how to you make one for a person?

To answer those questions in real depth would take a book in itself. For the purposes of this article we're going to just give you the basics. You can then do further study on your own if you really want to dive into creating and reading your own astrological chart.

An astrological chart is derived from some basic information about your birth. In order to create one, what is needed is your exact date of birth including the exact time. For example, December 12, 1982, at 7:15 PM. Also what is needed is the exact latitude and longitude coordinates of the place where you were born. You're probably wondering, why do we need all this info? The reason is simple. The planets are constantly moving every second of every day. Plus, the relationship of where you are to each planet changes based on where on Earth you are at the time of your birth. That's why somebody born on April 5, 1987, at 8:10 AM will have a different astrological chart from somebody born on the exact same date and time if they are born in Germany and the other person is born in Alaska.

The actual technical skill required to put together an astrological chart is mind boggling. However, with computer technology, you can now simply input the information into a program and have your whole chart of when you were born spit out for you. That is about 90% of the battle itself. The rest of the battle is simply interpreting the chart.

An astrological chart contains an enormous amount of information. While all of it is important, some of it is more important than other parts in that the majority of the information derived from the chart comes from these few pieces.

The main thing your chart is going to tell you is what planets were in what houses at the time of your birth. This is important because each planet has a specific influence on certain aspects of your personality depending on which planet it is and what house it occupies. If you've taken a basic science course in school then you know that the 9 planets are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto as well as our own Earth. The Earth however is not included in the chart because it is the planets that affect the Earth and not the other way around. So since you know what the planets are, you then need to know what the houses are to know what influences the planets affect.

There are 12 houses, Identity, Spirituality, Community, Ethics and Career, Beliefs, Transformation, Relationships, Work and Service, Creativity, Home and Family, Knowledge and Self Worth. Each of these houses has control over a variety of what you might call sub houses or categories. For example, relationships come in all sizes such as friends, business and relatives. A house is more complex that just its general description.

To simplify the whole process, your chart is read by figuring out which planet is in which house at your birth and thus determining what the major influences are in your life. From the chart we get your sun sign, which is your main sign and a number of other pieces of information. The main pieces give the basic characteristics of your personality and influences. The minor pieces go into more detail, which we will do in future articles.

Astrology system

Astrology system

Astrology is the combination of believes, system and traditions which can provide the future information about the human personality, earthly matter and human relationship. The person who practices this astrology is called astrologer. Most of the astrologers believe that the nature and natural things has influence on the human body and behavior. They think that the nature has direct or indirect influence on human.

If you want to know it more commonly, you should consider it as symbolic language or it is an art form or it is the form of divination.  It has so many definitions. Different astrologer has given different kinds of definitions, but all the astrologer believe in one thing that it can explain present, past and future.

is considered totally wrong by the scientific community.  The scientific community called it superstitions, but the community of psychology explains it positively. Some people say that astrology has relationship with science.

Astrology has a great history. From the ancient time the people of the world have been practicing this thing. Before 3000 B.C, people practiced it, which is recorded. It plays an important role to shape of the culture of the world. Astrology has relationship with astronomy, the Vedas and various kinds of historical incidents.

A Few centuries ago astrology and astronomy was considered the same thing. After the 18th century, when renaissance begun, astrology became separated from astronomy. Still now the astrologer depends on astronomy to analyze astrology. Some astrologers still think that astrology is the part of astronomy.

The word astrology has emerged from the Latin term “astrologia” (astronomy). It has derived from the Greek word astron (star) and “logia” means study. So study of the star is called astrology. From the history of the astrology we can easily understand that it has relationship with astronomy.

Most of the astrological things are based on the movement of the stars and planet. The planets are signed by some symbols. The astrology also shows geometrical and angular relationship between various types of planets and events. From this matter they define all kinds of human nature and incidents.

According to the western tradition, predictive astrology explains two methods one is astrological transits and another one is astrological progressions. In the astrological transits method the movement of the planets are explained. In the astrological progression method the horoscope is progressed according to the set method.

In the past astrologer only observed the heavenly bodies and their movement, but at present people of the world has progressed a lot in this sector. Though there is a great controversy about astrology, some people still believe it and try to follow the rules of the astrology. So it depends on a person how he will take this thing.

The Audacity of Hope in Astrology

The Audacity of Hope in Astrology

All humans share the same basic psychological needs. The first ones that come to mind are safety, love, making a contribution, and last but not least, HOPE.

First and foremost, we are driven by our powerful survival instinct. We all need to feel safe in the world before we can focus on any other needs. Our survival depends initially on the bond of love between infants and their caregivers, and thus we are eternally engaged in a search for love to feed our soul and bring satisfaction and meaning to our lives.

Once our survival needs are met and we grow into adults, most people feel a need to make a contribution to the world, to bring value to their community and friends. Our contribution is a legacy that says that our lives have mattered, that we have left our mark on the world and made it a better place. The happiest people I know are those who find significant ways to make a heartfelt contribution through their work, volunteer activities, and relationships. Notice how abundant and valuable you feel whenever you give of yourself.

There is much despair in the world. It seems to be part and parcel of the human condition. Most likely you have experienced despair yourself, at a time when it felt like you could not control your fate. Did you notice how your despair robbed you of the energy you needed in order to get beyond the situation you were in?

For our spiritual growth, we must absolutely face and resolve challenge after challenge in this life. This is really the only way to get the spiritual depth and strength that we need. But how do you keep going when it feels like you’re just not strong enough to take another step?

Hope is an intangible quality, and yet it is crucial for us in hard times. When hope is lost, people become spiritually deenergized and stop taking the actions that will lead to the better outcome they seek. If, on the other hand, you are able to hold onto hope even when it seems like there is no possibility of resolving your situation—no rational reason for hope—you will be able to maintain the level of energy and determination that will allow you to prevail ultimately.

Astrology can be one of your most powerful tools for holding onto hope. In times of despair and confusion, when you cannot see any possible way forward, astrology can provide you with the insights you need to understand your situation and make effective choices to move forward. When you are aware of the forces, both internal and external, that are impacting your life, you are empowered to make the right action choices. Hope plus awareness and conscious choice is a powerful equation for solving problems!

Some people use astrology to justify their problems and avoid taking action: “I’m in a dark Pluto transit right now. That’s why everything is going wrong. I just have to wait until this transit is over.”

That’s not a very hopeful approach. A better approach is to use your understanding of astrology to turn your situation around.

Pluto can be a dark force, associated with death. But all dark elements are accompanied by the other side of the coin, which in Pluto’s case means transformation, rebirth, rising from the ashes, and regeneration. From death comes life, in one continuous cycle.

So the first step, if you’re in a Pluto transit, is to find out about the transit: How long will it last? Which planets, signs, and houses are involved in your personal horoscope? Armed with that information, and with your understanding of the two faces of Pluto—dark and light—you will be equipped to consider your situation in a new light and generate possible solutions. Instead of ruminating about Pluto’s dark side, you can choose to align your thoughts and actions with Pluto’s highest potential, for change. The message of your transit could very well be that you are in need of transformation.

Even if in your specific situation Pluto is associated with death or some other type of radical ending, if you allow yourself to flow with that inevitability, you will be able to move into the next phase of regeneration that always follows all endings. One door closes and another opens. We have a natural resistance to negative life events, but our lives need to be continually renewed on higher planes and often that happens through painful endings. You can take control of that process by choosing the direction of your transformation. If you are able to let go of what has been binding you to the past, you will be open to connecting with the better life experiences you seek.

In our dark times we lose our usual anchors and feel lost. Often clients ask me for an astrological reading when they are in a hard planetary transit. Invariably, when they get an understanding of how the transit is affecting them at that moment, they are visibly relieved. Once they understand the astrological meaning of their situation, they are able to look at it in a new way. So you see, the first step may be to look at your situation from a new angle, and then new solutions will become apparent.

Loss of hope happens when we can’t see a way forward, lose control of our lives to other people or forces, and have no tools or strategies to apply to our situation. How well you resolve the situation depends very much on how you manage your thinking, your feelings, and your decisions. The insights of astrology are an anchor of wisdom that will bring you great hope in the dark nights of your soul. When there is hope, everything is possible. Astrology will open the door of your soul and let in the light of hope. With that clarity of mind and a lighter heart you will soon find yourself taking successful actions to move out of your darkness and toward a place of happiness and success.

Can Astrology Help You Find A Compatible Life Partner?

Can Astrology Help You Find A Compatible Life Partner?

Personality trait is one area of astrology that never fails. Assigning characteristics to individuals with reference to their birth charts and sun signs is the oldest and the most successful aspect of astrological science.

In terms of forecast and speculations different school of thoughts have their own inclinations with reference to their research and likewise they implement and interpret the movements of planets in various houses and astrological zones. Personality traits of common signs are the common grounds where all schools of thought agree. These personality traits effect in terms of elements (fire, air, earth, water) and with their operatives inclinations (cardinal, fixed, mutable).

Finding a compatible partner with reference to their individual traits is very effective and highly reliable. Following are some details that will give you a basic idea of how compatible astrology signs work.

Air and fire are partner elements on natural grounds. If you are a fire sign, you’ll feel really pleasant in the company of air signs. They will entice your thoughts and share the same life patterns and philosophies. The elements form a natural combination. People belonging to these elements are aggressive and pro-active. Just like a twister(air) and jungle fire (fire). They may appear aggressive apparently, but it does not take a long time for them to cool down and get back to normal. They forget what had happened in minimum course of time. Generally they are considered highly volatile and mercuric in nature.

Following is the chart of Air & Fire Astrological Compatibility:

Water exists inside Earth. It constitutes a large portion of earth. Just like Air & Fire are compatible; Earth signs and Water signs are naturally attracted or inclined to each others’ energies. They naturally complement each other and thus create a winning combination. They too feel equally consumed and comfortable in each other like Air & Fire partners.

Following is the chart of Air & Fire Astrological Compatibility:

There are other numerous factors responsible for your astrological compatibility.  These include areas like numerology, rising sign and natal birth chart etc. Other vital factors for compatibility include operational inclinations, in which similar operational styles clash, while rest of them combine successfully. Cardinal-Cardinal / Fixed-Fixed / Mutable-Mutable don’t work out well. The following chart constitutes all signs with their respective operational category.

Astrology can help you in finding a compatible partner. It is a vast subject, but this article discusses the basics and guide you how too use them for finding winning combinations. Chatbuddie.co.uk can be your favorite social bookmark. Check now for fun, learn and everyone.

Astrology - Planets and the Signs - Part 3

This is the continuation of my previous article where I discuss the affect of mars, Mercury and Venus on a person's personality. In this article I will talk about the affects of Jupiter and Saturn.

Jupiter:

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. Jupiter is the planet of good luck, success, and positive thinking. The position of Jupiter in your birth chart indicates what things are lucky for you. It also tells you what career is most suited for you and what areas in life will bring you the most luck. In mythology Jupiter was known as the supreme God. If Jupiter is well placed in your chart then it means you are outgoing, you are very lucky in terms of money and possessions. Also if Jupiter is well placed in your chart, it means that you will never have to worry too much, things will come easily to you but at the last minute. You also are popular among people and successful in your career. With all the good things it has to offer, there does not seem like there would be a negative influence of the planet. But there is a bad part and that is excessive goodness. Like with everything, the excess of anything is not good, if you get everything it can make you lazy and you will never develop strength of character.

Saturn:

Saturn is the second largest planet. Saturn is the planet of responsibility and symbolizes hard work. Anyone going through the phase of Saturn will learn to be hard working and will face a lot of trials and difficulty which will make him strong of character. Saturn also teaches a person discipline. It is the planet of self control, patience, maturity, and realism. It might seem like a very harsh and cold planet but you should see it as a strict parent who is trying to teach you all the good things in life so that you can be a good and responsible person. Saturn will put you through a lot of difficult situations just to test you and give you a lesson but don't worry since whatever it gives would never be more that what you can handle. If Saturn is placed in a strong position in your chart then it means that you are patient and responsible. If Saturn is placed poorly in your birth chart, it can make you selfish, unhappy, and solitary and a pessimist. But as I said before, don't be scared of it, accept what Saturn has to offer and you will end up thanking it for whatever you leant.

Astrology - Basics

I have read at least 20 books related to astrology and tried a lot of astrology soft wares out there. The conclusion that I came to is described below.

In the beginning I used to read various books on Scorpio and try to compare what was written to how I am (yes, I am a scorpion). I would be so fascinated by what was written and how closely I could relate to it and to be honest sometimes when I could not relate to it, I would tweak my conscientious a bit and try to fit myself into what was written. I used to read all those daily horoscopes and if anything good or bad happened, I would look back at the horoscope and start comparing to it and trying to make sense out of what happened. If you have ever read these horoscopes you will know what I mean. All these horoscopes usually go like this "Today is not a very god day for you...but you will be surprised by something good today", now I am not saying all of them read exactly like what I said but that is the general outline. So no matter what happens, whether it is good or bad you can relate to your horoscope because it says both good and bad things. I guess this because most of us like to know in advance what is going to happen. What we don't realize is that it is for our best that we don't know what's in store for us in the future.

It was later that I realized this and it came to my mind that there should be at least a million people out there all with the same sun sign (the sign in which the sun was at the time of your birth) and it is absolutely not possible that the same thing will happen to a million people at the same time or to be more precise in the same day. Then I started thinking, there has to be more to astrology and after some research I realized that sun sign is only a part of astrology. There are other planets, who also affect a person's personality and their future for example moon sign (sign in which moon was placed at the time of your birth). So in order to really know about yourself more you need to know about all the other planets and in which signs they were placed at the time of your birth.

Learning More About Astrology Everyday

If you have either a serious interest in astrology, or have simply become curious, there are so many potential resources that you may take a brief look at the seemingly-endless supply and become intimidated. How can a newcomer to the subject of astrology possibly navigate through so much information? The answer is to begin with the basics. If you are a beginner, and uncertain as to what "the basics" consist of, some places are better equipped to provide this information in an easy-to-understand manner than others.

Rob Tillett, of Australia's Astrology On The Web, has been a practicing astrologer for over three decades. His articles on the Astrology On The Web website begin with the most absolute basics, all clearly written in a manner which is easily understood by anyone, and progresses to much more detailed manners of analyzing. Directed toward those who are newcomers to the subject of astrology, Mr. Tillett makes it clear that astrology is not a matter of showing a person what is inevitable, but how one's own free will plays a most deciding role in the events which will eventually come to pass in one's life. This information will give the beginner a sense of confidence and strength.

Mr. Tillet also explains in clear language about how astrology works. Without complicating the subject or risking confusion for the beginner with unnecessary technical terms, he describes what exists and how everything is connected. Even the most non-technically-inclined newcomer will be able to understand Mr. Tillet's explanations of astrology and his descriptions of how it all works. His articles on the Astrology On The Web site are definitely the best place as one's first source of information about astrology.

Astrology On The Web is made up of a team of ten people, all of whom are very well-versed in the field of astrology in general, as well as being experts on a number of related topics, such as numerology and meditation. While the website itself will provide a wide range of general information on all aspects of astrology, you can also order books or personal readings, if you wish. There is also a message forum where you can share information, questions, and insight with other people who have similar interests in astrology and its related fields.

If you are interested in the comparisons and differences between Indian astrology and Western astrology, the Vedic Encyclopedia is an excellent source for this information. From the Vedic Encyclopedia you will first learn that while Western astrology is greatly affected by the modern world, the roots upon which Vedic astrology was initially based are as strong and continuous in the present-day as when this form of astrology first began.

To learn more about Chinese astrology, a good beginning would be to read the books on this subject written by Suzanne White. "The New Chinese Astrology" and "Chinese Astrology Plain and Simple" will give you the best overview of this specific form of astrology.

Whether you have already decided which form of astrology interests you the most, of it you would like to gain a basic understanding of each type in order to decide which suits you the best, these are three very good sources of information.
